Living A Happily Unbalanced Life For Professionals

We all know someone who manages to work full time and can still manage to find time to raise healthy, happy children. So, how do they do it? The secret is in knowing how to maintain a good work life balance.

Take some time and think about how the income, time freedom and service to others would change your life. Write a list of how the three benefits I just mentioned would change life for you. Next incorporate some of your own goals for 6 months, one year and three years down the road. Look for how your efforts could build the work life balance that would meet those goals and a clear mission statement will emerge.



The good news for all us parents out there is that you can have the best of both worlds. You can work hard and still find time to enjoy your family and your life. You just need to create balance. So how do you do that? Simply follow these essential strategies to enable you to balance the demands of work and your personal life - enabling you to be successful and happy doing both.

Eat your veggies and get your sleep. One key factor in being able to manage a healthy balance between work and home life is making sure you are taking care of yourself. Eat a proper diet, get enough exercise and make sure you get enough sleep. You can't expect to perform at your peak levels if you are neglecting your body. Make time every day for physical activities such as walking, yoga or cycling. If you have a friend who will also participate with you that is even better.

So, what if our boundaries were designed to allow us to actually let in light and air? What if we could see out of these boundaries and others could see into them? What if our boundaries where there as a pleasant experience? Working inside of these boundaries is quite a different feeling. For one thing, there is plenty of room to move around. When someone approaches your boundary, you have lots of choices about how you choose to respond to them and their requests.



Stick to the amount of time work life balance in tcs you need to spend. This means that if you've set 8 hours for your work, then stick to that and leave for tomorrow any work left undone.

The problem with Work- Life Balance is that it suggests there is a trade-off-that one side must be "up" and the other one "down" like a weight scale that has two sides to it. Using the word "balance" suggests that the two aspects are completely separate from one another. The new world reality is that Work and Life are completed integrated.You can't segregate work from other parts of your life. Our personal lives and professional lives aren't separate "Buckets" as defined by Work- Life Balance.

There is only one place you can aim to have balance or manage things from. That is from your own life and your own perception. The attitude with which you approach things can very much be within your control, the way you decide to view things, the way you interpret situations to yourself, the self talk you allow, the stance you uphold and the beliefs you harbour. Thinking before you speak, seeing a glass half full, learning to say no and living in integrity are all to do with a kind of conscious living that will fulfill and balance you to a point that you enjoy life with gratitude whilst you are going places, loving your work within a lovely life.
